At the time, when the home minister of India Government, honorable Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was offering his lawyership services at Borsad court, i.e. in 1908, he was interested to establish the better structure for the Education in English to the local students. To accelerate his expectations, he formed a managerial body, say a public trust and started a school of English medium. Advocate Shri Chhanubhai Ramshankar Bhatt, Shri Ambalal Sakarlal Desai, Shri Gokaldas Kahandas Parekh. Shri Haribhai Dahyabhai Chhatrapati, Shri Motibhai Narsibhai Amin etc, the honorable dignitaries of Borsad and all of them along with others were at support. The School was started at Brhamin's Dharmashala with the good will of Brahmins. Sardar Patel was declared to be the first Chairman of the body, by them.

After that period, Shri Chhanubhai Ramshankarbhai Bhatt, Shri Ahmadkhan Balolkhan Pathan and Shri Fulabhai Narsibhai Patel; executed their chairmanship one after another and continued the progress. Shri Fulabhai Narsibhai Patel was a well known advocate of the area and was very much keen to uplift the education of the school and have a good credit in entire Bomaby State, of that time. He entitled the Trust as 'New English School' Trust.

Advocate Shri Dhanabhai Narsibhai Patel was the fifth Chairman of the trust. He traveled in Africa to contact the Donors. He constructed the buildings for School. Tower was constructed by the donation of Shri Narayanbhai parasottambhai Patel residing at Africa. In 1951 in honor of the King Edward (Britain), the trust was registered to be "Edward Memorial High School" Trust. by Shri Dhanabhai Narsibhai Patel, known as 'Dhanakaka'.

From 1960 to 1984,the responsibilities were born by advocate Shri Ramanlal Dhanabhai Patel; the good practitioner of Tenancy act. His period was well stepping with academic advancement and development. He started Arts, Commerce and Science under graduation colleges. Education college was also started. He established such Institutions with the help of donors whose names were connected with the respective institutions.

Since after he was passed away, Shri Somabhai D. Patel from Vasna (Borsad), took the charge as a seventh Chairman up to 1988. Himself was a well known merchant in market and an honorary magistrate of the town.
